♦ TOWN & SCHOOL ANNUAL MEETING/AUSTRALIAN BALLOT ELECTION: The Town and School Annual Meetings will be held Tuesday, March 5th beginning at 10 a.m. with the School meeting. The Town Meeting immediately follows the School Meeting (approximately 11:30 a.m.). The polls open for Australian ballot voting at 9 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Both the Town and School Annual Meetings and the Australian ballot voting take place at the Westfield Community Center, 59 North Hill Road.
Early/absentee voting takes place at the Westfield Town Clerk’s office, 38 School Street, anytime Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. until the close of business (4 p.m.) on Monday, March 4th. To request an early ballot either stop by the Town Clerk’s office or call 802-744-2484.
There will be an Informational Meeting on Monday, February 25th to discuss Article 10 on the Town Meeting Warning: Shall the voters agree to open all town roads to All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) travel? The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Westfield Community Center, 59 North Hill Road. For more information contact the Town Clerk’s office.

♦ UPCOMING RABIES CLINIC: There will be a Rabies Clinic sponsored by the Animal Doctor (Dr. Selena Hunter) at the Westfield Community Center on Saturday, March 23 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. All communities are invited to attend. All are invited to enjoy a community lunch every Thursday at Noon at the Westfield Community Center (North Hill Rd./School St.) A donation of $4/person is requested with the 2nd Thursday of the month FREE. Special thanks to Berry Creek Farm and its CSA members for once again providing a harvest of fresh fruits and vegetables during this growing season.

Fees for licensing on or before April 1:
Spayed/Neutered $9; Unspayed/Unneutered $13
Fees for licensing after April 1:
Spayed/Neutered $11; Unspayed/Unneutered $17.
For your convenience, checks for license fees can be left in the secure drop box next to the Town Clerk’s front door. Once processed your dog’s license/tags will be sent to you by return mail.

♦ NOTICE TO HOMEOWNERS: Homestead Declaration are to be filed each year by every Vermont resident whose property meets the definition of a homestead. A Vermont homestead is the principal dwelling and parcel of land surrounding the dwelling, owned and occupied by a resident individual as the individual’s domicile on April 1. If your homestead is leased to a tenant on April 1, you may still claim it as a homestead if it is not leased for more than 182 days in the 2016 calendar year.
