♦ August 31, 2017:
HELP WESTFIELD BUILD A TRASHOSAURUS

Saturday, Aug. 26th — 8 a.m. to Noon
Westfield Recycling Center at the Town Garage
757 VT Route 100

Help us bring TRASHOSAURUS to life!
Children and adults of all ages can participate by bringing clean recyclables. Each recyclable item brought will be added by the participant to the chicken-wire dinosaur structure until we’ve covered the entire surface. Bring beverage bottles, styrofoam egg cartons, aluminum cans, plastic milk jugs and plastic bags to help bring Trashosaurus to life! This unique, community creation will be displayed on the Westfield Common for all to enjoy while creating awareness of the items in our lives that can be recycled.

Sponsored by the Hitchcock Memorial Museum and Library & the Westfield Recycling Center with special thanks to Steve Myott of Westfield for creating the Trashosaurus structure.

♦ August 31, 2017: Westfield Concert Series presents

Jeff Fellinger and FriendsImage may contain: 1 person, standing, hat and outdoor

Thursday, August 31st
Concert at 7:00pm
Potluck supper at 6:00 PM
First Congregational Church of Westfield

Suggested Donation $10 – Proceeds benefit the Uganda Children’s Fund and ongoing historic maintenance of the church.

Local boy (and proud new papa) Jeff Fellinger will get lots of help from his friends and relations for this evening of down-home music making. The Stelma-Leonard Brothers will open the show with sweet fiddle and guitar tunes, followed by Jeff who will sing and play traditional cowboy & country songs, lullabies and originals. Various other cameo appearances will be made to round out the evening.

Jeff has been crooning and writing tunes – mostly based in folk traditions – in Vermont and abroad for many years. His other musical projects include the Starry Mountain Singers, Soaked Oats, Jeff & Julia, Farm Song, Soulgrass, and the Ooolation Singers.

He and his wife Katherine Sims are the founders of the Westfield Summer Series. They and their new bundle Wyatt (aka Lil’ Buckaroo) reside on the Northeast shores of Lake Memphremagog (till the end of summer, anyway).

Please let your friends and neighbors know about this event and bring them to a great night of music!
