♦ December 10, 2017: The Hitchcock Museum and Library invites area children and their families to participate in a Christmas Ornament & Tree Trimming Party on Sunday, December 10th from Noon until 2 p.m. Participants will create beautiful-handcrafted ornaments to take home and/or to decorate the Library Christmas tree. The Library is located at 1252 VT Route 100 in Westfield. For more information call 744-8258. This is a free, family-fun event for all ages! 

♦ December 15, 2017: Caroling on the Westfield Common begins at 6 p.m. Join your neighbors for a fun filled-family evening caroling, drinking hot chocolate, eating donuts and visiting around the bonfire. The Troy Fire Department will bring Santa for a special visit with the kids at 7:00 p.m. Call 744-2484 for more details. 

♦ December 16, 2017: Texas Hold’em Tournament at the Westfield Community Center benefiting the Troy and Area Lions Club. Doors open at 9 a.m. with the tournament starting at 10 a.m. Buy in is $35 with an optional high hand $5. Lunch will be available. ♦ December 20, 2017: Candlelight Holiday/Solstice Service beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Westfield (on Route 100, across from the Westfield General Store). You are warmly invited to a celebration of the holidays and the solstice, full with music, poetry, stories, and reflections focused on peace, hope, winter’s beauty and the turning of the year. A cookie and pie potluck will follow the service. If you have a song, reading or reflection you’d like to share, let Katherine Sims or Jeff Fellinger know.
