♦ Welcome ♦ Westfield Town Announcements ♦

We invite you to take the Westfield Community Survey. The Westfield Planning Commission will use your survey responses to update the Town Plan. The plan is important because it is our shared vision for the future of the town and is the basis for long-range initiatives and zoning. Westfield’s plan is also taken into consideration in Act 250 and Section 248 reviews. The latter is the review process the Public Utility Commission uses for energy generation and telecommunications infrastructure.

Our current Town Plan expires in December 2018. Collecting information from the community is the first step to update the plan.

Survey responses are confidential unless you choose to identify yourself at the end of the survey. It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete the survey. All household members age 16 and older can take the survey. Thank you for taking the time to have a voice in Westfield’s future!

The Listers will be holding Grievance Hearings on Saturday, June 23, 9 a.m. to Noon. It is your right as a property owner to grieve the assessed value of your property if you disagree with the towns assessed value. It is strongly recommended you schedule an appointment. If you do not have an appointment you will have to wait until all appointments are completed. Appointments are scheduled in 15 minute increments to present your case to the Listers. Stop by the Town Clerk’s Office to pick up the Application for Grievance or click on the link below. Grievance applications can be submitted to the Town of Westfield, Attention: Lister’s Grievance Hearings, 38 School Street, Westfield, VT 05874. They also can be scanned and emailed to townofwestfield@comcast.net.

Following the hearing, the Listers will inform you of their decision within 7 days of your Grievance Hearing.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact Scott Dunn, Lister Chair, at (802) 673-3521.
